used people

Used People began as a creative production house founded by David Lucas and Tom McFaul in the 1970s—composers by day for brands like GE, Pepsi, and Meow Mix, and producers by night for rock legends like Blue Öyster Cult.

Though often credited as the “Lucas/McFaul Jingle House,” the name Used People captured the spirit of the studio: a trusted collective of go-to musicians and writers—including icons like Luther Vandross, Steve Gadd, and Steve Jordan. As the saying went,

“everybody used them.”
